Shopping

Yesterday was a great day … we went shopping. A bus took us to Bridgetown and we got there around 10am and we were suppose to meet him at 1:30pm for the ride back. Really?!?!?!?!? … 3.5 hours to shop? So, after we told the guy we would not meet him and that we would find our own way back to the resort, we proceeded to have a great day shopping. After a few hours, we wanted to find a cab to take us to our next destination, we ran into Terry, a very nice, not too hard on the eyes, local, who drove us to the Sheraton Centre. He gave us his cell number so we could call when we wanted to go back. All and all it was a great day.

We got back about 5ish and spent the rest of the night at pool side and in our room vegging. Our dinner reservations were for 9pm so we hung out relaxing and watching movies until then.

I have to just add that the food here is awesome.

After dinner while Nina was sitting in one of the chairs by the ocean and I was petting a little cat, it started to spit … by the time I walked over to Nina (took about 10 seconds) it was like a faucet was turned on and did it come down. We were trapped under an umbrella. I decided to make a run for it so I dashed to a larger umbrella, took seconds and I was drenched. I finally made it to the bar but was soaking wet. Nina stayed where she was until the rain slowed down … well, it didn’t. She finally made the dash and got all wet too … both in our new dresses.

This morning, I was woken up to the sound of thunder … it started to rain quite heavily for a few hours. So we decided to reschedule our boat ride trip out today to Thursday and thought we would have a spa day and walk around the neighborhood checking out some of the shops.

  1. Always good to make friends with nice, “easy on the eyes” locals.

When I first read your post, I thought you meant the cat started to spit. 🙂
