Day 14…I am home

So…I finally made it. The flight home was pretty scary for me as the turbulance, when we started decending to Calgary, was pretty bad…although no one else seemed concerned.

So here are a few of the highlights…

– I had problems checking my bags as I was over the weight limit – I am NOT going to say by how much and NEITHER is anyone else
– I was detained by security in Frankfurt because of the Nintendo DS I had in my purse (apparently, it looked very suspicious under the x-ray camera)
– The plane was delayed by 10 minutes because they had to take some luggage off the plane – I was so afraid that it was mine
– The Canadian customs officer made fun of me because I calculated the exact amount of Canadian dollars I spent to a fraction of a cent
– The woman at the payment counter teased me because not only did I have an itemized list of what I bought (in Euros) but it was also organized by date

AND wow am I tired and really hungry, but tired trumps hungry so I think I am going to bed and having a little nap (maybe a 13 hour nap).

I hope everyone who had read my blog enjoyed it as much as I had writing it.

Good nite ya’all
Selena

I want to take a few moments by thanking EVERYONE – Herbert & Brigitte, Martin & Jennifer, Jens & Janine – for the wonderful time I had in Germany. I saw so many amazing places and did so many great things. I also learned a great deal about wine (now I know how to spot a good wine), and of course, the way to learning is to drink a lot of wine – this I accomplished. We are all looking forward to seeing you when you all come to Calgary in 2011. Take care, and will see you soon.

Love
Selena
