Today was a great day. We spent the morning and early afternoon lounging by the pool. We had a Catamaran Cruise booked on Tuesday, however, the weather wasn’t the best (stormy) so it was rescheduled for today. Nina chose to sit this one out, but I was very excited to go … I knew that there was going to be snorkeling with the turtles. We all set out and drove directly to the turtle site. Once we anchored, I quickly got my snorkeling gear on and was going to attempt to go down the stairs when I was told that I would not be able to and had to jump in … it was then (when I jumped in) that I was reminded I was in the ocean when I got a mouthful of salt water. I recovered quickly and immediately started hunting for the turtles, my recent snorkeling lessons were very helpful. Anyway, low and behold – we had TURTLES. OMG, they were so cool, some coming right up to me. There were so close I could tough them, however, I didn’t because it is forbidden. I got some really cool pictures.
After I got back, I caught up with Nina and did a little more lounging by the pool. We have plans tomorrow to go on the Glass Bottom Cruise.
Oh, I wanted to add one thing, at dinner, I had Filet of Dorado (I have to check the spelling). When I asked someone about it, the one woman said it was a dolphin. OMG, they eat dolphins here?!?!?!? When I asked Dennis (the bartender), he explained that it was the Dolphin Fish, not the mammal. *WHEW* … well, that made a huge difference and decided to try out this fish. Like the Fish Fry, this is a mild tasting fish and was pretty good.
