First hike of 2021. Finally got to break in the snowshoes I purchased two years ago.

This was a good hike, definitely needed the snowshoes. A bit of a climb in the beginning but nothing that was super difficult. When you finally get to the top, the view is amazing, pictures do not do it any justice. There were some huge gusts of wind that almost blew me over. Aside from that, it was the perfect weather for a New Year’s Day hike.

At one part of the trail, a service road was put in which made it confusing so following the trail on AllTrails is important.

As we started the climb down, some parts were quite steep and had to be taken slow as not to fall down the hill. There was a fallen tree that I chose to climb over (instead of walking around) which I probably wouldn’t recommend as my butt ended up in the snow.

All in all, I enjoyed this hike.
