Yup … couldn’t take it anymore.
I moved to the next stage Saturday afternoon as Izzy seemed comfortable going to the toilet litterbox … however, she refused to use it after that. I managed to catch her last night before he pooped on my carpet, but this morning, she was walking around, meowing, jumping up and down off the toilet. I had had enough. I got her litterbox all ready this morning and she all but dove into it and spent a good five minutes in there. My fear was that she would develop a urinary tract infection and that would make me feel really bad.
Training a cat how to use the toilet is good in theory, however, I think you need a special cat and perhaps need to start young … Izzy is past one year and pretty much set in her ways. Maybe if I had a second bathroom, I could spend more time at each stage, but the litter all over the place made me want to move on a little more quickly, obviously, more quickly than Izzy was prepared to go.
For those of you who would like to try to toilet train your cat, let me know, I have a kit that I can sell you – CHEAP. 🙂
