We left the cabin yesterday at around 1pm as we had a couple of places to visit … one was the fruit market and the other was a pottery farm where I bought a few practical pieces like mugs and a couple of plates. We finally hit the first ferry around 2ish where we had to wait about 1 hour. We made it to the second ferry around 4ish and was on our way through Vancouver Island at 4:30pm. We were a little worried as we didn’t think we would make the 5:45pm ferry from Duke Point but as it turned out, they squeezed us in … barely. We arrived on the mainland at around 8pm and had about an hours drive through Vancouver. We stopped at White Spot for dinner and then headed to CK’s parents place for some needed sleep.
It is now 2pm (Calgary time) and we are well on our way home. The weather is 14C with rain … rain? what is that. After a week of hot weather, I forgot what rain was. We are dragging along right now as there is CONSTRUCTION and traffic is backed up … I thought Calgary was the only place with construction.
Oh well … We motor along.
I guess part of the problem as well (as we past and rubber necked) is there was an accident with a camper hanging very close to the cliff … scary.
