Day 1.0…I have arrived

So here I am, after 13 hours of sleep, awake and in Germany.

Yesterday was a good day…after figuring out I was flying Air Canada and not Lufthansa (that is a long story).

So if you read last years blog, here are the reason’s why you shouldn’t travel Air Canada…

1) There are NO hot towelettes for your hands before your meal.

2) There are NO Toblerone bars they hand out to all of the passengers.

3) There are NO great German beer I had with my meal and NO cognac I enjoyed after lunch.

They did, however, provide a screaming child for most of the 9.5 hour flight.

Good Times!

Anyway, after a little sleep, my cousins were at the airport to pick me up. The drive to Bonn was approx 1.5 hours (which I slept through). We arrived at Jennifer’s place and had really strong strong coffee. After we took a walk around a park (where I found geese and fed them, some of you who know me are not surprised by this) and saw the Parliment building. We head back to Jennifer’s (which I fell asleep in the car on the ride back) to wait (which I fell asleep) for our 5:30pm reservations at a little Italian restaraunt close to Jen’s place (Stacy, it was the same place as last year). The meal was great and later, thought is was a good time to head back. The ride back to Wegberg is just over an hour (and YES, I fell asleep). We ended the evening with wine and cold medication…a great end to a great day. Not sure what the plan is for today, however, the day is beautiful and sunny.
